Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups help members connect on a more personal level and tend to be rewarding and fulfilling. Form a group comprised of members sharing a common interest (Book Club, Mommy ‘n Me, Sister Mixers) with the intention of having this group create a bond with one another as well as the alumnae group. Interest Groups should have a chairman to be a liaison between the SIG and the alumnae chapter or association.

The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter has four strong Special Interest Groups, some brand new and others that have been bringing DG's together in Atlanta for many years.  Specific information, including dates, times and locations are emailed in advance of each event.

Lunch Bunch
The Day Group is made up of many of the women who first planted roots for our Atlanta chapter, as well as others who prefer to get together in the day time. The Lunch Bunch group meets the second Wednesday of every month at a member's home or local restaurant for lunch, a relevant program and DG camaraderie. Check the website and watch your email for event details.

Scarlett O’Hannah Book Club
Book Club is a great opportunity to read new books and spend time with your DG sisters. We read a variety of books - from fiction to biographies to classics. Meetings take place the third Tuesday in even months and are held in member's homes and area restaurants or coffee shops.

DGZip Events (Zip Code Parties to meet your neighbors)
Our Zip Code Parties are a great way to meet DG's that live near you!  Interested in hosting a group in your zip code area?  Please let us know and we will help you set one up!

Little Anchors Playgroup
Formerly the Mommies Group, our group is focused on planning events to help moms (and motherly figures) build community. Our goal is to have three events to meet up with kids of all ages and one moms night out event each year. There is a Facebook group to stay connected, plan events, and provide support to each other.  Click here to join our Facebook Group!
