Vision Screenings
We are excited to be partnering with Prevent Blindness Georgia on vision screening preschool students starting this fall. You can help in any of the following ways:
- Complete vision screening certification training (certification valid for 3 years)
- Click here to RSVP to our chapter's official training occurring on August 14th at 10:30 am at Prevent Blindness Georgia in Sandy Springs
- If unable to attend our chapter training, email us at vision.screenings@atldg.org your interest in becoming certified so we can coordinate your training
- Assist with vision screenings at local preschools (as a screener or a helper)
- For those who receive their certification, we will work to schedule you to screen children during the school day based on your scheduling preference
- For those who would prefer to help and not be certified to use the camera, email us at vision.screenings@atldg.org with your interest. Responsibilities for being a helper include checking in the children and calling their names when it's their turn
- Make a monetary donation toward the purchase of our chapter's vision screening camera (not tax deductible and pledges of $100 or more will receive special recognition)
